In the heart of the legendary Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region lies Château Dereszla. Founded in the 18th century, Château Dereszla is now a modern winery in a historic setting. Access to the Dereszla cellars has even been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Winning
The hand-picked grapes are transported in small baskets called "puttonyos." The Aszú grapes are macerated in dry white wine. The sugar content of the final wine depends on the number of Aszú puttonyos added. The more puttonyos, the sweeter and more powerful the wine.
