The Glaswegian Dram- or better yet- the wee weegie whisky (weegie being slang for a Glaswegian). This distillery lies on Great Western Road- the highway that connects not-so-sunny Glasgow with Scotland’s wild west coast, where it scarcely stops raining either. Still, today’s rain is tomorrow’s whisky and we carry on making Scotch through 4 seasons of blistering rain, waiting for the sun.
Jack of Uncharted Whisky grew up in Glasgow and it was the first place Dana moved to when she first moved to Scotland. Visiting one of our local distilleries and enjoying their beautiful drams instilled a long held desire to bottle a wee Auchentoshan and here it is at last. Auchentoshan triple distills their spirit which makes it a super smooth dram to sip on. This canvas when paired with first fill ex-bourbon barrels has left the whisky a light golden colour, sweet and smooth on the palate and utterly delicious. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, freshly cut oak and delicate wafts of spice make for a dram that will definitely have you going back for more!
As always…. Un-chillfiltered. Natural colour.
