Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Original, is the whisky that started it all. This first whisky, The Original, is a fresh and fruity single malt that combines the finest concerto malted barley with the purest Scottish water from Loch Katrine.
A minimum fermentation of 72 hours combined with an extremely slow distillation results in a fruity and deliciously sweet new make spirit that is then matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in virgin American oak casks.
Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, The Original is a true representation of the whisky we produce at The Glasgow Distillery and demonstrates our production philosophy and commitment to quality. This is a remarkably fruity and smooth single malt with notes of red berries, vanilla, pear and honey with a long spicy finish.
