The gift that keeps on giving. Over the last couple of years, we've released multiple of these strongly peated sherry monsters. The latest edition of our Staoisha 2014 is now joining its siblings at the highest stage, where it fits in perfectly. On the nose: caramel toffee, cinnamon, and gingerbread biscuits. A little star anise, 5 spices even. Quite some dark fruits, like brambles and figs. W hiff of gunpowder. Saw dust. Crispy bacon and pancetta. And peat smoke, obviously. So much to explore! While sipping you'll notice how treacly and punchy this stuff really is. Delicious. Salty seaweeds, umami, oyster sauce and liquorice. More dark fruits. The finish lingers on, almost indefinitely. This one is more layered, maybe even a bit gentler, than its brothers and sisters. Nonetheless very special stuff and a must try & buy for those who've enjoyed our recent Staoisha's.
