William Fèvre owns 1.15 hectares in Valmur of the total 10.5 hectares that the Grand Cru has. Valmur is shaped like an amphitheater and has a southern and southwestern exposition. Due to this special shape, the vineyard enjoys a lot of sun. The vineyard is located on Kimmeridge marl and limestone, giving the wines a mineral expression. The Chablis Grand Cru Valmur has a remarkable freshness and impresses thanks to its charming fruitiness, mouth-filling structure and surprising elegance.

Think of aromas of apple, white peach and blossom. Serve this wine with fish, shellfish or other seafood such as caviar or oysters. The combination with poultry is also highly recommended. Serve at 12-14°C. Vines have been growing in the Grand Cru Valmur since 1233. The name has two possible origins. Either it comes from 'vallée aux meures' (valley of the blackberries), or from 'meurs' (walls) that people used to build here to demarcate the property.
