Cask strength Kilkerran from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown! This limited batch was aged for eight years in bourbon casks before being bottled at a robust alcohol percentage of 57.7%.
Nose: Aromas of butterscotch and vanilla pudding dominate, with notes of apple butter and white miso. Next, notes of whipped cream cake and poached pear emerge.
Taste: The taste is creamy with notes of shortbread crust and soft caramel chocolate, with hints of gooseberries, white grapes, cigar smoke, and sandalwood.
Finish: Hints of green peppercorns and honeydew melon come to the fore in the finish, along with an ashy note.
