Barón de Ley Club Privado Rioja was originally intended for the wine-loving members of the exclusive investors' club associated with Barón de Ley. At their request, a lighter type of wine was developed that would still contain all the recognizable characteristics of a Rioja. And so this so-called semi crianza saw the light of day: a wine that has been aged in wood for a slightly shorter period of time.
The Club Privado has a playful, juicy taste of strawberry and cherry. Due to the relatively short wood maturation, the wine has subtle notes of cedar and vanilla. Serve with various meat dishes and/or mild cheeses.
CLIMATE & TERROIR: The climate is temperate, with influences from both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
VINIFICATION: After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures
for four months in American oak barrels and then for another six months in the bottle.
GRAPES: tempranillo
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.00%
NOISE & TASTE: Soft, round, juicy and full of character with aromas of
ripe red fruit, spices, cedar and vanilla.

Ibérico ham, game and mushrooms.
