Douglas Laing

Douglas Laing's was founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing. From 1972 he was assisted by his son, Fred Hamilton Laing, and in 1990 Fred Laing received the Award for Export from the Queen of England. The Big Peat whiskey has been around since 2009 and it is still widely available. In 2013, Douglas Laing developed the new Scallywag whisky, in 2014 came the Timorous Beastie and in 2015 the Rock Oyster was created, and the Remarkable Regional Malts were born.

Douglas Laing is a true family business, now in its 3rd generation. Douglas Laing's whiskeys are always non chill-filtered and not colored and with a high alcohol content. They specialize in Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Single Grain Scotch Whisky, Blended Blended Whiskey and Blended Malt Scotch Whisky.

Old Particular Caol Ila 15 Years Old

A 2005 Caol Ila single malt from bottler Douglas Laing, matured in a single refill hogshead for 15 years before being bottled in October 2020 as part of its Old Particular series.
