The Claxton’s Warehouse No. 8 Springbank 24 years old 2000 is a 24 year old Campbeltown single malt from the Springbank distillery bottled in the Warehouse No. 8 series by the independent bottler Claxton’s. This Springbank was distilled on 24th November 2000 and matured in 2nd fill sherry octave C25128. It was bottled in 2025 at natural cask strength of 44.6% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 50 bottles.
Tasting:
Right from the start, the nose offers beautiful old notes of a Dunnage warehouse, followed by toffee, dry sherry, and a hint of mint. The palate is very aromatic and delicately dry, with more wonderful notes of sherry and more toffee flavors and a touch of anise. A long and delicately sweet finish with aromas of sweets and candy.
