Cooley 2002 19 Year Old Rare Find Rum Finish
Something a bit more unusual, a single cask 19 Year Old Cooley Irish Single Malt, finished in a Caribbean rum cask.
A single cask bottling of Macallan whisky by Gleann Mor Spirits presented in their Rare Find series. This was distilled in 1993 and matured in a refill sherry cask for 26 years until 2019 when it was bottled at natural cask strength of 40.8%.
A very clean and mineralic nose with brine, rockpools, lemon peel, gooseberry, and green apple, with a hint of smouldering, bonfire, the peat smoke rushes to the fore on the palate, alongside lime, grapefruit and creamy vanilla, smoked citrus fruits linge
Always bottled at cask strength for full flavour. Never any added colour or chill-filtering. Each and every bottle comes from a cask that has been personally nosed, tasted and approved by a member of our team.
